Run to Win #1: Addicted to the Ride

For 1.5 years in 2014 and 2015 I shared a playlist a week of 10 new songs that I really liked and 3 songs that I thought you needed to hear from that week.

I used to spend so much time making these playlists aka listening to new music – on the way to work, on the way from work, at work in my headphones, at home while I watched the EPL, La Liga, and Champions League matches that I recorded. On Sunday nights I would spend so much time – all night – ordering these tracks and merging them for upload to Soundcloud. Not once did I add a song for the faith in those playlists, and I felt it…

The knowledge that the music that I shared was not specifically glorifying the Lord at all started to nag at me. After adding a song for the Lord to a couple of my playlists, I realized I wanted to use my most popular playlist series, Addicted to the Ride, to announce to many that I love God, and that I listened to each of the songs on the list at least 5 times straight at some point in the last 12 months.

I gain so much from this relationship, and I find it a privilege to share the music of those who use their gifts to glorify and serve the Lord.
